Severn Trent Water replace another activated carbon filter

Severn Trent Water replace another activated carbon filter with a BGAK PpTek unit.

Working with one the largest UK infrastructure specialists Costain, PpTek has been chosen to replace an existing Activated Carbon filter system at Netheridge WwTW in Gloucester, England.

As in Wessex Water, Severn Trent Water sight the dramatic rising cost of replacement activated carbon media and the inconsistent replacement notice when saturated.

Southern Water continue to extend their PpTek installations

Southern Water extend their PpTek installations.

Working with one the largest UK infrastructure specialists Enpure and the UK's CAT dealer Finning UK, PpTek has been chosen to supply a siloxane filter system for the new Brighton WwTW, owned by Southern Water.

Enpure are constructing a major new WwTW at Peacehaven near Brighton, England using CAT engined CHP's to produce green energy from the digested waste.

Thames Water extend their PpTek installations

Thames Water extend their PpTek installations.

Working with one the largest UK infrastructure specialists Interserve, PpTek has been chosen to supply siloxane filters for Riverside WwTW, near Thurock, owned by Thames Water.

Interserve are carrying out a major upgrade of the site with a target to greatly increase the BioGas production to fuel the new CHP's. This is part of a large upgrade program embarked upon by Thames Water to upgrade their existing CHP fleet.

PpTek to fit four new filters for Thames Water


Working with the UK's Jenbacher distributor, Clarke Energy, PpTek has been chosen to supply siloxane filters for Crawley, Chertsey, Beddington and Oxford WwTw owned by Thames Water.


Clarke Energy will install new CHP's to these sites and use the BGAK filters to protect their engines from siloxane contamination. This is part of a large upgrade program embarked upon by Thames Water to upgrade their existing CHP fleet.

PpTek replaces a further Activated Carbon filter


PpTek replaces a further Activated Carbon filter at Wessex Water

Wessex Water WwTW at Avonmouth, near Bristol England, have contracted PpTek to replace their existing Activated Carbon filter, fitted by Siloxa Engineering, with a PpTek automatic BGAK filter system.

Wessex Water point to the increasing costs of replacing the carbon media and the lack of notice to ensure the media does not become over saturated. In addition the upgrading of the digesters will be producing additional BioGas with no additional capacity left with within the carbon filter.
